Jasper National Park is the less visited of the two largest national parks in the Rockies (there are quite a few including Yoho, Kootenay, and Glacier). Quieter than its more famous rival Banff, it's as much an attraction for outdoor enthusiasts featuring the usual hiking, biking, white water rafting, and skiing in winter. The Icefields Parkway road runs from just north of Lake Louise right through to Jasper, and the first few shots below are just the typical roadside scenery. There are plenty of lakes to explore as well as water falls including Sunwapta Falls and Athabasca Falls. Unfortunately for our photography the weather was less obliging for our time in Jasper, even raining for some of the time. Just when we thought Canada was the perfect country...
