Vegas, baby! The last destination on our honeymoon was a fantastic experience, and exceeded our expectations. Our first highlight was checking into our suite at the MGM Grand Signature - it was huge (bigger than our flat in London!). There are at least eight pools at the MGM Grand, including a 'river' around the pool complex where you can float around on a ring all day. What you expect in a desert is heat and Vegas didn't dissappoint. During the day the temperature was a scorching 41 degrees Celsius which of course just drives you into the air conditioned casinos and shopping arcades. It was so hot that sitting by our pool reading a book became difficult because the glue of the book binding failed and the book fell apart!
Our first night we went to the show at the Wynn, La Reve, a production by Dragone of Circue De Soleil fame. You can watch numerous clips on YouTube, although how long they stay there you never know. The show was absolutely fantastic and well worth the ticket price. We've seen quite a few of the Cirque shows and this was by far the most innovative. After the show we went to Lazy Jack's cafe at the MGM Grand for a bite to eat (about 1am) and got the largest steak known to man - crazy big portions of food.
Highlights: La Reve, the Strip (all of it), Sarah nearly being hynotised by Trevor Stokes, our suite at the MGM Grand.
