Santorini is a magical island just north of Crete, famous for its steep cliffs and spectacular sunsets. I was lucky enough island hopping around Greece in1998 and arrived on an overnight ferry before I'd ever even seen a photo so it was a massive and impressive surprise - in the era of Instagram I imagine everyone's now seen it before they arrive which is a shame.
